Performance Running
What is the difference between running shoes and high performance running shoes?

I really don’t understand the “high performance” part…

What brand would you recommend? Right now I have Adidas but they’re wearing thin on me.

It depends. High performance generally implies that they will be used for longer distances at faster paces, or that they use some slick fancy technology but are extremely lightweight. For racing shoes, I recommend Saucony or Nike (the only thing I recommend Nike for). For everyday running for a neutral runner I recommend Saucony or Asics. For cushion or stability I recommend Brooks or Asics.
